Lorraine Wauters is a Belgian photographer, born in Liège in 1990 and living in Brussels. 
Specialised in theater photography, she worked as the Opera Royal de Wallonie's official photographer from 2015 to 2018 and was also in charge of the audiovisual projects. She worked periodically for other operas at the Teatro La Fenice (Venice), Teatro Malibran (Venice), Opéra National du Rhin (Strasbourg) and La Filature (Mulhouse). 
Since 2011, she also realises her own photo essays. With an approach mostly focused on the individual, her main themes are waiting and confinement in various sectors of today's society (asylum seeker centers, hospices and hospitals, women’s prisons,...).
